Edgewater, Colorado · Serving 140 businesses

Your books close by the tenth. Every month, without you chasing us.

Ledgerline does monthly bookkeeping for small Colorado businesses: reconciled accounts, a real profit-and-loss statement, and a named person who answers the phone. If we are late, we tell you before you notice — which in eleven years has happened four times.

What we do

Three problems, and they are usually the same three.

Almost every business that calls us is in one of three situations. Knowing which one you are in is most of what the first conversation is for.

Neatly organised monthly financial reports stacked beside a reconciled bank statement

Monthly bookkeeping

Every account reconciled, transactions categorised against a chart of accounts that suits your trade, and a profit-and-loss statement and balance sheet delivered by the tenth. Plus a short written note about anything that looked odd.

From $420 / month, flat

Two years of disorganised receipts and bank statements spread across a table being sorted into piles

Catch-up & cleanup

Eighteen months behind, a QuickBooks file nobody trusts, or a departed bookkeeper who left mid-year. We rebuild from the bank feed forward and tell you honestly what is reconstructible and what is not.

Quoted per project · Typically 3–6 weeks

Payroll & filings

Semi-monthly or biweekly payroll, quarterly 941s, Colorado unemployment, and year-end W-2s and 1099s. Filed on time, with the confirmations sent to you rather than filed away here.

From $140 / month plus $12 per employee

How we work

Four commitments, in writing, in the engagement letter.

  • Closed by the tenth. If your bank feed is complete by the third, the prior month is done by the tenth. No exceptions we do not warn you about first.
  • A named person, not a queue. You get one bookkeeper and one partner, both by name, both of whom answer their own phone.
  • Flat monthly fee. Quoted from your actual transaction volume after a two-week look. It does not change mid-year because a month was busy.
  • Your file is yours. If you leave, you get the file, the documentation and a handover call. We have never charged for that.

“We came to Ledgerline two years behind and genuinely expecting to be told off. Instead they rebuilt both years, found $19,000 of deductions our previous person had miscategorised, and have closed on the tenth every month since.”
